Dashcam footage sought after fatal crash in Otago

Police are keen to speak to any witnesses of the crash near Allanton.

Police investigating a fatal crash in Allanton on Friday evening are asking for the public’s help.

The two-vehicle crash was at 5.40pm at the intersection of SH1 and Law Road.

One person died at the scene.

Senior Sergeant Nathan White of Southern district police said: “We would like to thank those members of the public who stopped to help those involved before emergency services arrived.”

Police now wanted to hear from anyone who they have not already spoken t, who may have witnessed the crash, or who has dashcam footage of it.
