US President Donald Trump suggested the killing of American troops would cross a red line that would end the ceasefire with Iran, after earlier downplaying an exchange of strikes between the two sides.
The Republican party-led House of Representatives voted to restrict Trump’s ability to continue the war against Iran without congressional approval, in a rare rebuke to the president. The measure now goes to the Senate.
