Watch: Black Ferns star shares hidden talent ahead of World Cup semifinal

Tuesday, 16 September 2025

Jorja Miller began dance and rugby when she was four years old.

Black Ferns star Jorja Miller has showed the world exactly what she can do on and off the field, including her not so hidden talent Highland Dancing.

On The Good, The Scaz & The Rugby podcast Miller and her team mates Portia Woodman-Wickliffe and Stacey Waaka sat down for a tell all.

Miller was asked about her Highland Dancing and said she had been dancing and playing rugby since she was four years old and believed it was “a real blessing in disguise”.

'It's given me a lot of skills and just random things that I've been able to transfer into rugby.“

Miller described it as ‘weird’ unlocking how the two were combined before encouraging others to do the same.

“Umm so yea, everyone Highland Dance!”

Not thinking it would turn into a show and tell, Miller was asked by the podcast host what it looked like.

With smiles and giggles she was egged on to get up and give a demonstration by her team mates.

Miller tried to get Woodman-Wickliffe to join her, insinuating she also learnt Highland Dancing but the Black Fern reminded her she needed an hour to warm up.

The Black Ferns are locked in to play Canada on Saturday at 6am for a spot in the Women’s Rugby World Cup final.
