Stars centre Mila Reuelu-Buchanan suffers knee injury in 60-56 loss to Magic
Monday, 3 June 2024
Central Pulse and the Tactix are pulling away at the top of the ANZ Premiership as the competition reaches the halfway point of the regular season.
Thanks to the Pulse's 57-37 win over the Steel on Saturday and the Tactix's big 56-42 victory over the Mystics on Sunday, the two teams have extended their lead at the top of the ladder.
With seven wins from eight matches, the Pulse and Tactix are locked up on 21 competition points after eight rounds.
The Stars remain winless following their gutsy 60-56 loss to the Magic on Monday night.
The match was marred by two serious looking knee injuries. Silver Ferns mid-courter Mila Reuelu-Buchanan went down early in the third quarter for the Stars and the Magic’s Ali Wilshier suffered a similar fate in the final quarter.
Updates on the pair are unlikely to come until after scans early this week.
