The yellow card that has landed All Whites star Clayton Lewis in court

All White Clayton Lewis and former Wellington Phoenix captain Ulises Davila are among players arrested over their alleged involvement in an A-League betting fix, which police say has led to hundreds of thousands of dollars being paid out in winnings.

The pair, and their Macarthur team-mate Kearyn Baccus, were arrested last week in morning raids, taken from their homes by organised crime detectives and later charged with engaging in conduct that corrupts a betting outcome and granted police bail to appear in local court next month. A fourth player has also been interviewed.

Davila captain of Macarthur FC, has been accused of paying team-mates up to $10,000 to deliberately receive yellow cards in a scheme allegedly masterminded by his South American connection.

Investigators allege yellow cards were manipulated during games played on November 24 and December 9.

They also allege unsuccessful attempts were made to do the same thing during matches on April 20 and May 4.

The Sydney Morning Herald has reported the four incidents shown in the video above are allegedly under further investigation.

In the alleged incident involving Lewis, as reported by the SMH, the New Zealand international gets a yellow card for pushing a Sydney FC opponent.

Davila played for the Phoenix between 2019-2021, captained the side and was a fan favourite, before signing with Macarthur.

Wellington-born Lewis played for the Phoenix between 2020 and 2023 before moving to Macarthur. The midfielder has been capped 27 times for the All Whites.
