The video, which is understood to be from Scotties Boutique in Ponsonby, Auckland, is central to the original allegation of shoplifting made against Ghahraman.

The owners and staff at Scotties Boutique have not made any public comments about the two shoplifting allegations relating to Ghahraman and their store.

Ghahraman has now resigned.

Stuff has seen security camera footage from the store, after it circulated online. Scotties Boutique has continued to decline opportunities to comment, including about the video.

This video has been circulating as the Green Party met with Ghahraman on Monday, upon her return from an overseas holiday.

The party has not responded to a question about whether it had seen security footage from Scotties Boutique.

On Tuesday afternoon, Ghahraman resigned effective immediately as an MP, and she apologised to Scotties Boutique.

In her statement she also said:“I also want to especially thank Scotties Boutique for the kindness and empathy they have shown me.”

Wellington-based store, Cre8iveworx, emailed other businesses in the city on Monday saying they believed Ghahraman was in the premises in October last year.
