One person dead, three injured in single vehicle crash in Loburn, Waimakariri

One person has died and three others are injured after a single vehicle crash at Loburn, Waimakariri.

Police Senior Sergeant Chris Wakelin said the crash occurred about 10.25am, and had blocked Loburn Whiterock Road, near the intersection of Barkers Road.

“Sadly, one person died at the scene while another was critically hurt,” Wakelin said.

Two other occupants received moderate injuries.

The road was expected to be closed for some time and traffic management was being arranged, police said.
