Jobs could be on line at Timaru's DB Draught Brewery

Consultation is under way with staff at Timaru’s DB Draught Brewery over “proposed changes’’ at the site.

A large employer in the Timaru District with 60 employees, The Timaru Herald understands up to nine roles could be impacted at the brewery.

On Thursday, a DB spokesperson said the proposal had been driven by an “imminent change” to its forecast production volumes at the site.

“No decisions have been made and we are unable to provide further details of the proposal during the consultation period,’’ they said.

The brewery, in Sheffield St, Washdyke, was one of several DB breweries throughout the country.
