Covid 19: Shout outs to businesses in the Nelson region

Everyone has their favourite local shop or service which they love to recommend and there is no better time to do that than now.
Some of our region’s businesses are feeling the continued effects of Covid restrictions, so we wanted to give a Shout Out.

Kush Coffee; 5 Church St, Nelson. Great coffee, super friendly staff.
The Wooden Spoon; 251 Queen St, Richmond. Always good food, delicious and fresh. Great atmosphere and efficient and friendly staff.
Eddyline Brewery; 8 Champion Rd, Richmond. There is nothing like a pizza and a beer on a Friday after work with ya mates, plus their staff are friendly as!
Collingwood On the Spot; 12 Tasman St, Collingwood. A fantastic, well-stocked store that always has plenty of fresh fruit and veges stocked for locals. Great customer service from the team who are working hard to meet the needs of our small community. Amazing!
Melrose House Cafe; 26 Brougham St, Nelson South; melrosecafe.co.nz; The perfect spot to meet friends for lunch or treat yourself to a slice of cake outside in the garden setting.

Everyday Goodness; 526 Main Road Stoke; Great place to buy healthy food and things like dishwash without buying plastic. (You feel wholesome just being there!)

Rustic Cuisine; 228 Rutherford St, Nelson; rusticcuisine.co.nz; Absolutely delicious crepes and galettes and the best hot chocolate. We are so lucky to have this little jewel box cafe in our neighbourhood.
Watson Automotive; 56 Quarantine Rd, Annesbrook; Ph 03 547 9090 (no website, these are a couple of old school, should-be retired mechanics); The guys are always friendly, willing to help and don't charge the world. Very trustworthy and nothing is ever a problem. They don't belittle you and your lack of knowledge, they just offer great service and expertise.

The cinema takes a huge hit during lockdown even in Level 2. We need to be supporting our local cinemas - imagine life in Nelson without a cinema - even if they don't have the blockbuster films, go and see something a bit different. Recommended: the latest James Bond film opened this week and Shang Chi is an incredible film - Marvel film - a must see.
