The exercise will involve the movement of military vehicles and soldiers with weapons on main and rural roadways as well as local buildings during the day and night.

Troops and military vehicles may also be moving in other locations close to the exercise area at various times.

The exercise comes three months after the biennial Southern Katipo military exercise which involved 3000 people from 13 countries in scenario-based training around the top of the south.

As well as patrol-based tasks and battle scenarios, personnel will also take part in lectures and workshop aspects during the exercise programme.
