Lotto player strikes it lucky with $5.5m win in the Bay of Plenty

A Tauranga Lotto player is $5.5 million richer after Saturday night's draw.

One lucky Lotto winner has started summer with a $5.5 million windfall after winning Powerball First Division on Saturday.

The winning ticket was sold in Greerton and continues the Powerball winning streak with the third big win in the past two weeks. Two players from Warkworth and Greytown won $19.1 million each and a player from Hamilton won $4 million with Powerball.

Strike Four has rolled over and will be $400,00 on Wednesday night.
