Man dies after water-related incident at Great Barrier Island

A man has died after a water-related incident at Great Barrier Island on Christmas, police have confirmed.

The incident was reported to emergency services shortly before 6pm.

Police are making inquiries in relation to the death on behalf of the coroner.
