One person killed after early morning crash near Gisborne

A person has died after a crash near Gisborne in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police and the emergency services were called to the incident on Whatatutu Rd, Te Karaka, just before 2am.

An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is under way.
