Car rolls on Auckland's southern motorway near Grafton

Congestion on Auckland’s motorway network is easing after a car rolled on the southern motorway near Grafton.

Waka Kotahi NZTA Transport Agency said delays had mostly eased about 12.45pm Saturday, after the crash earlier caused heavy congestion heading south from the Harbour Bridge.

Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman Paul Radden said two crews were called to the crash at about 11.24am.

The incident was left with police a short time later, he said.

A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said four people in a minor condition were assessed and treated at the scene.

A police spokeswoman said it was notified about 11.25am two cars had collided and one of the cars was on its side.

“Fortunately nobody appears to have been injured, but a couple of lanes were blocked.”

The road was cleared by 11.45am, she said.
