One dead after two-car crash in Auckland's Dairy Flat

A person has died after a crash on Kahikatea Flat Rd in Dairy Flat, north Auckland, on Tuesday morning.

Police confirmed the person had been taken to hospital, but had later died.

Police are in attendance at the two-vehicle crash.

The crash is currently blocking a lane and motorists are advised to avoid the area.

The serious crash unit is investigating.

The death takes this year's holiday road toll to eight.

The official period started at 4pm on Christmas Eve and extends until 6am on January 5, 2021.
