Man dies after crash on Desert Road

A man has died following a crash on State Highway 1 on Saturday.

The motorcyclist was transported to Waikato Hospital where he died on Thursday.

The crash occurred around 10:40am on Saturday on the Desert Road, about three kilometres south of Kaimanawa Road, between Waiouru and Rangipo.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
