Live: Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern apologises for Erebus disaster, 'the time has come'

Almost 100 people have gathered at the Erebus Crew Memorial Garden in Auckland to remember the 257 people who lost their lives in the tragic incident. Thursday marks the 40th anniversary of the disaster. A private memorial with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was also taking place at Government House in Auckland.
