A Lotto player who bought their ticket in Tauranga is now a million dollars richer.

The ticket which won the first division in Wednesday's live Lotto draw was sold at AJ's Lotto in Tauranga.

If you bought a ticket there, Lotto's advice is to write your name on the back and check it as soon as possible - at any Lotto outlet, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.

On Wednesday, Powerball was not struck, so there will be a $10m jackpot on Saturday night.

Strike Four also rolled over and will be $200,000 on Saturday.

And Lotto players have contributed to a $9.8m grant to Coastguard, which will put 26 new boats on Kiwi waters, a Lotto statement said.

They will be used water during the 2021 America's Cup, then distributed to Coastguard units around the country.
