One dead after crash in the Bay of Plenty

One person is dead after a crash in the Bay of Plenty on Saturday.

Emergency services are at the scene of the crash at the intersection of Edmund and Clayton roads in Rotorua.

Police were notified of the crash, which occurred between a truck and a motorcycle, around 11:20am, according to a police media statement.

Two fire crews were at the scene to help police with crowd control, said Fire and Emergency northern communications shift manager Daniel Nicholson

The Serious Crash Unit is in attendance and diversions are in place.
