Watch a Lada turn into a flamethrower

Friday, 6 August 2021

You wouldn
You wouldn't want to come across this Lada on a bad day.

A Russian mechanic has converted a lowly Lada 1600 into a fire-breathing monster, allegedly the first ever of its kind.

Vahan Mikaelyan calls his creation “Dragon” and filmed it shooting powerful jets of fire out of its headlights. One of the coolest things anyone has ever done to a car? Probably.

The fire reaches looks like it shoots close to ten metres from the car and while the actual build process wasn't shown, we can assume an auxiliary pump was installed to shoot the ignited fuel out of the headlight mounts.

In any case, it’s not a car you’d want to cut off or brake check, assuming the Lada can still be driven in its current state.

Mikaelyan isn’t new to modifying cars in weird and wonderful ways. Once, he built a vehicle that rides on eight legs, like some freaky mechanical spider.

Another creation included a monster truck with giant wagon wheels. Because, you know, why not?
