Toyota NZ quietly reveals GR Yaris price

Toyota New Zealand’s September price list has revealed the news many hot-hatch fans have been eagerly anticipating.
The new rally-inspired GR Yaris will go on sale in New Zealand priced from $54,990.
The all-wheel-drive version of the Yaris – which joins the Supra in Toyota’s GR (Gazoo Racing) performance car line-up – is powered by a new 1.6-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine developing 200kW of power and 360Nm of torque.
It’s the only new Yaris variant with a three-door body design that features a lowered roofline, widened track and advanced aerodynamics. It’s also the only Yaris with a manual transmission (six-speed) and GR specific suspension with high-performance braking hardware.

Toyota says the new model will serve as the official homologation model for development of the next generation Yaris WRC car and has all the attributes required for owners looking to compete successfully in local rally competitions.
Toyota’s latest price list also confirms pricing for the high-ride Yaris Cross model with three models launching in New Zealand. All will be front-wheel-drive with entry-level 1.5-litre petrol GX priced at $29,990 and the GX Hybrid will be $33,990. The flagship Yaris Cross Limited Hybrid is priced at $38,990.
Along with previously announced pricing for the 2021 Hilux range Toyota also has new versions of the Camry sedan in GX, SX and ZR Hybrid grades. Pricing has yet to be confirmed for the updated Fortuner SUV which was announced last week.
