It's natural to expect that a lot of driver education is about changing your own behaviour behind the wheel.
But even if your attitude, skills and knowledge are near-perfect, there's still another danger looming: other people.
'There are other motorists out there all day, every day all around you,' says Greg Murphy.
'Don't expect that everybody else out there is going to do the right thing.

'When you're driving along minding your own business and doing everything right, it doesn't mean that everybody else is doing the same thing.
'Always be aware of your surroundings - including your peripheral surroundings, and expect that someone else may be the one to make a mistake.'
