WorkSafe are investigating after a man was critically injured when he fell from the first floor of a building.
Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to Riroriro Road, Hobsonville, shortly after 2pm on Wednesday when the man, in his 40s, fell onto concrete.
The man suffered a head injury and crew members performed a Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) to assist his breathing, a Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter spokesman said.
'He was transported by ambulance to Auckland City Hospital in a critical condition accompanied by our Intensive Care Paramedic and HEMS Doctor.'
