Eight arrested after alleged Head Hunters gang methamphetamine op with Fiji origins

Police has arrested eight people after raiding multiple Auckland addresses during an ongoing drug operation linked to the Head Hunters.
The group face charges relating to manufacturing, supplying and possession of methamphetamine.
Detective Inspector Paul Newman said five properties in Mount Eden, Pakuranga Heights, Mangere East, One Tree Hill and Papakura were raided this morning.
Six people were arrested and further arrests could not be ruled out, he said.

The operation was part of police's Operation Boeing, launched in late 2016 and focused on a patched Head Hunters West Chapter member.
Newman said that member was allegedly involved in importing Actified drugs from Fiji and involved around manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine.
Actifed contains pseudoephedrine which was used to manufacture meth.
He, along with the patched Head Hunter were arrested in Auckland on December 10, allegedly in the possession of four kilograms of Actifed.
The eight people would appear in Auckland District Court on December 19.
Newman, of the National Organised Crime Group, said police were not surprised the Head Hunters was linked to this form of offending.
'The Head Hunters have absolutely no care or regard for the harm they inflict on families and whanau by manufacturing and supplying methamphetamine. They continue to take advantage of the addictiveness of this drug in order to profit from it.
'Police would like to acknowledge the assistance of Customs in this operation. It is our continued work with our partners that is seeing us significantly disrupt these organised crime groups.
On December 10, a 40-year-old man and 28-year-old man were arrested and charged with importing pseudoephedrine and possession of pseudoephedrine for supply.
Other arrests on December 19 included a 62-year-old man who was charged with money laundering.
A 35-year-old man faced charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, supplying methamphetamine, conspiracy to supply methamphetamine.
A 26-year-old woman was to be charged with conspiracy to supply methamphetamine. A 39-year-old man will be charged with supplying methamphetamine.
A 41-year-old woman was charged with supplying methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for supply, offering to supply methamphetamine.And a 37-year-old man who would be charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, supplying methamphetamine, possession of pseudoephedrine for supply.
These six were all charged with participating in an organised criminal group.
