Person flown to hospital after digger accident in Hobsonville, Auckland

A person has been seriously injured after a workplace incident in a rural part of Auckland.

On Monday, emergency services were called to Scott Rd in the Auckland suburb of Hobsonville around 7.55am. 

A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said it freed one person in an incident involving a digger. 

St John spokeswoman Beverley Tse said one ambulance and a rapid response unit were sent to the scene.

The seriously injured patient was taken to Auckland City Hospital by helicopter, Tse said.
