People injured after serious crash in Massey, Auckland

People have been injured, one seriously, after a two-car crash on a main road in Massey, West Auckland.

Police were called to the incident on Triangle Rd about 6.30am on Wednesday.

'Initial indications are one person may be seriously injured,' police said in a statement.

'Another person has received moderate injuries.'

The patients were taken to hospital.

The serious crash unit was examining the scene.

The road was partially blocked between Waimumu Rd and Lincoln Rd until about 10.15am, when it was re-opened.

The road is known for its users' dangerous driving techniques, such as overtaking on a double yellow line.

In February, a cyclist captured video of drivers doing just this down the road during peak morning traffic.
