Motorists advised to expect delays following central Auckland bus crash

Auckland motorists are facing delays following a crash between a bus and a car in the central

Emergency services were called to the crash near the intersection of Pitt St and Poynton Terrace in central Auckland about 3.20pm on Friday.

'The crash involved a vehicle and a bus,' a police spokesman said.

'Traffic is down to one lane around the area on Pitt St, heading towards Karangahape Rd.'

The spokesman said motorists were advised to expect delays and avoid the area if possible.

The spokesman couldn't confirm the type of bus involved in the crash.

St John Ambulance spokeswoman Beverley Tse said one ambulance was sent to the scene at 3.17pm and transferred one person to Auckland City Hospital in a moderate condition.
